Auluxe wins at Red Dot 2009 with Dew

January 20, 2009 An original brand from Taiwan, Auluxe set the design world alight at its first launch. Emphasizing natural luxury, exquisite craftsmanship, and flawless sound quality, Auluxe won a design award from Red Dot 2009 in Germany for the Dew, a 2.1 channel speaker system.

A model of Auluxe’s Mini Hi-Fi range, the Dew uses real wood cabinets to achieve an optimal re-sonance in order to reproduce audiophile quality sound. In cabinet design, the Dew is a perfect match of metal and wood in a streamlined arrangement to deliver a combination of the ultimate sound quality and an excellent visual appearance. Incorporating an exclusive driver technology, Auluxe uses choice natural materials to build the drivers for the Dew to deliver a true and pure sound without coloration. These include Angora wool damping, linen, and a wood-pulp compound diaphragm.

In addition to the carefully tuned real wood cabinet, the subwoofer driver is designed at the bottom of the cabinet non-directionally to increase the power and extension of the bass effect. The 6-degree elevated front panel integrates design aesthetics in conjunction with a phase alignment algorithm. In addition to the streamlined appearance, a gradational visual effect of the driver is revealed through the metal grill. When sitting on the R-shaped stand with a sandblasted surface treatment, the Dew is a work of art, fashionable and elegant.

With a history of over half a century, Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen of Germany, the most prestigious design association in Europe, founded the Red Dot Design Award in 1995 to recognize outstanding product design worldwide. As the world’s largest and best-recognized design award it is considered the Oscar for designers. Every year it attracts more than 11000 contestants from over 60 countries who compete for a Red Dot. The competition categories include Product Design, Communication Design, and Design Concept. Winners are given the privilege to display their award-winning products at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.

Regardless of its short history in the speaker world, Auluxe has meticulously fashioned every de-tail of a speaker system in adherence to the ideal of superb craftsmanship and quality. Along with a strong insight and awareness of global markets, by integrating brand and design, Auluxe looks poised to rise in the international stage.
